Refund Policy
Last updated: April 20, 2026
Credit packs are pre-paid digital goods. We want you to be happy — but we also want to be transparent about what is and isn’t refundable.
14-day right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU. Because credits are digital content delivered immediately on payment, you waive this right by completing the checkout, in accordance with Art. 16(m) of the Directive. You will be asked to explicitly confirm this waiver during checkout.
When we always refund
We issue a full refund (minus payment-processor fees we cannot reclaim) when:
- A technical failure on our side prevented credits from being delivered after a successful payment.
- A duplicate charge was made for the same intended purchase.
- Your account was suspended by us for reasons unrelated to a policy violation, before you used any of the purchased credits.
When we may refund (case by case)
For any unused credits, we may issue a refund within 30 days of purchase if you can demonstrate one of:
- The service didn’t meet the documented behaviour and we could not fix it within a reasonable time.
- You are closing your account permanently.
When we do not refund
- Credits that have been spent on lookups (used).
- Accounts terminated for violation of our Acceptable Use Policy.
- Volatility of cryptocurrency prices between checkout and settlement.
Crypto-specific terms
Crypto payments are settled in the currency you selected at checkout. We do not refund the difference between the spot rate at time of payment and time of refund. If a refund is approved, we will return the EUR-equivalent value in the same coin, or, at your option, in EUR via SEPA bank transfer (you cover the bank fees).
How to request a refund
Email billing@squarebreach.com with your account email and the payment id. We respond within 5 business days. Refunds typically arrive within 5–10 business days after approval, depending on your bank or wallet.
Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback through your card issuer without contacting us first, your account will be locked pending resolution and any outstanding credits will be revoked. We’d much rather sort it out directly — please reach out to billing@squarebreach.com before opening a dispute.
